I made a binding jig for my router table and tested it out. I'm trying to decide
which binding to use. I'm leaning toward the b/w with the black side bound
celluloid, although the b/w with the tortoise looks nice.
Binding the top before I set the neck.  A little backwards, the neck will require
several shims that I could not get to after gluing on the back.   I decided to go with
the Tortoise with a b/w backing strip.
The back and neck are glued on.  I made an armrest while I waited for the glue to
dry. Same theme, gold mop dove with white MOP.
The jig is bolted to the top of the router
table with countersunk 1/4" bolts and
the table is tapped to hold them. The
two bolts you see are for adjustment.
The back is finally bound. The heel cap
is Ebony and has a small gold MOP
heart.  This was a bugger to get done.
Once I get the binding scraped I'll glue
on the fretboard and extension.  I
already have the Allen TR2 tailpiece and
an Ebony Sullivan bridge is on order.

Ready for the fretboard and extension.
Gluing on the fretboard.  I made a couple of pickguards for it and received my
bridge.  I just need to make a nut and we can string it up in the white.
Fretboard's on. I'll need to
sand the neck and clean it up,
make the nut, fit the bridge,
and level the frets.

I think I'll scoop the extension
.
